With a seating capacity of 1200 this indoor and outdoor African experience, it soon became a must on any Western Cape visit.Bedouin tents and Gazebos are placed throughout the garden and create an almost nomad African Village.
Watching over this moyo Village is a 300year old Oak Tree, a testament to Africa’s greatness.
Around this Gentle Giant, bedlike couches designed and crafted by moyo are placed in a 360degree radius for the best views of the werf.
Growing from the earth, pulsating water features crafted from copper are living works of art and skillfully constructed tree houses raise from the ground and take to the tree tops – an unparalleled dining experience.
The buffet span is an incredible 25m. The flavor of freshly cooked potjies, tagines and grilled meats fills the air with aromas of cumin, paprika and rose-mary….
The aim and design of the buffet is to create individual African gastronomic experiences, experimenting with the tastes and flavours of Africa.
Around embolas (fire barrels) at night, burning throughout summer and winter, guests soon form an Indaba circle, sitting, chatting and solving all the mysteries of the world snugly wrapped in a colorful blankets provided.

moyo Stellenbosch's resident entertainers are third world bunfight and they perform every day.
Their work includes a medley of African song and dance pieces - fusing traditional and contemporary dance, music, performance forms and design modes from around the African continent.
The entertainment programme at moyo at Stellenbosch is challenging tourist curio entertainment and celebrating South Africa’s multilayered complexities. It also includes bands from The Congo, ballad singers from East Africa, township jive bands, cape minstrels, community projects, local isicathymiya groups, Afrikaans folk singers from neighboring farms, marimba players, opera trainers from Khayelitsha, mbira players from Zimbabwe, pantsula dancers and cape flats jazz bands - all showcasing some of the best and most interesting of Cape Town’s cultural talent.
